Wedding

6 years, 4 months, 3 days: Nearly weds

August 10, 2013

“This is it, man. This is life — just walkin’ together, and takin’ it day-by-day” was the first thing we heard as we entered a very crowded Golden Gardens. What followed was an abundance of applause, cheers, and congratulations as we made our way through the park to where we would pose for portraits. The attention added to our excitement, and were having the time of our lives.

We happily, albeit, awkwardly, began taking pictures in the trees, but it wasn’t long before we started having a blast posing and talking, feeling so in love.

After our pictures at the trees, we spent some time having shots taken at the wetlands, but we were antsy to get to the beach.

The sun decided to come out around that time, and we were taking in the beautiful scenery, feeling nothing but pure bliss.

We hadn’t thought to check the time, and seemed to forget we had places to be and things to do that day other than hang out at the beach! When we finally pulled out our phones, we saw that over an hour and a half had flown by, and now it was time to get married. We were ushered back to our limo, and made the ten minute drive to the Ballard Locks, which felt like an eternity.

My heart was beating faster, and my whole body began shaking with excitement as we walked to our garden ceremony location.

After a few hiccups, and some set up, we took our places nestled amongst the trees.
